I just want to staying RIP Angela Valdez.
Secondly, why the hell did they change the damn theme music? That shit absolutely sucks now. I don't like the new song at all!!!
Okay, the first thing that happens we find out Angela is dead. Immediately I'm pissed off because Angie was my favorite charter in the whole damn show. Then to make matters worse Ghost sneaks up on Tommy inside of his house and they have this weak ass fight that is eventually ceased by Tarik. I don't know how other people may feel but to me that fight scene with Ghost and Tommy was wack.
Tommy gets Keisha to toss the gun he used to kill Angela in the river. Keisha did not use gloves when she touched the gun so I'm sure we will be seeing her name in brought into the investigation concerning the murder of Angela Valdez.
Tasha lets Ghost know she wants a divorce. Who couldn't see that coming? The divorce should have happened like 3 seasons ago. Tasha also is still in search of Terry Silver. Tasha doesn't know that Ghost killed Terry so Tasha is calling him back to back trying to contact him. There are rumors that Terry might still be alive but I highly doubt it.
The main scene of the whole show was Ghost shooting up Tommy's car. Now I have to admit, as bad as this episode was for me, this scene was crazy AF!
As turns out Tommy's boss stole Tommy's keys and had one of his men driving the car so when Ghost sprayed it with bullets he killed someone else and not Tommy.
Tarik seems as if he is probably gonna end up helping Tommy kill Ghost but you never know with Tarik. We have seen Tarik fake like he is going against Ghost while siding with Kanan but then he turned Kanan.
Overall I give this episode POWER a letter grade of C. To be fair a lot of my disdain for this episode is due to the fact that I hate the new intro music and I'm mad that Anglea is dead. Angie was the centerpiece in this whole story, everything revolved around her. Now that she is gone the show feels empty.
Back in 1996, nobody would have thought that a toy company would own Death Row records. Yes, that Death Row records the same Death Row records that Makaveli The Killuminati was released on. Multiple sources report Hasbro toy company has purchased the record company after buying Entertainment One which took ownership of the bankrupt label back in 2013.
Hasbro CEO released a statement on the purchase.
“The acquisition of eOne adds beloved story-led global family brands that deliver strong operating returns to Hasbro’s portfolio and provides a pipeline of new brand creation driven by family-oriented storytelling,” he said.
How sad is this for Hip-Hop?
Just thinking about the fact that this Ceo of a toy company owns the entire catalog of Hip-Hops most infamous record label makes me want to vomit. To make things worse, he barely knows anything about Death Row records. This is a sad moment for the culture.
Colin Kaepernick replied to Jay-Z's claims that we are past kneeling by saying, "We ain't past nothing."
I said in my post addressing this subject some time ago that the NFL thinks that Jay-Z is still the voice of the Black community and whatever he does, Black people will follow suit. This is one of those times when they will find out they were wrong. Jay-Z has no pull other than the fact that he has a lot of money.
Of course, not every Black person in America got behind Kaepernick when he was kneeling in protest for the unarmed Black men in America that had been shot and killed by police officers without consequence.
What Jay-Z does not realize is that this cause is greater than his fame. Black people are not just ready to move on and not only that but as we see Eric Garner did not get justice and just goes to show that the powers that be are just ignoring the Black community as a whole. I'm not saying that kneeling will make them treat Black people fairly but it keeps the conversation going, that's the part that Jay-Z is missing. We don't want them thinking that we have just moved on like we usually do. Not this time.
Meek Mill doing big things again. Meek posted on Instagram his joint venture with Jay-Zâs âROC NATIONâ. It seems as if Dream Chasers will be officially on ROC NATION going forward. Jay-Z referred to Meek Mill having trouble with the court system and he was able to rebound from that bad situation.
Jay-Z stated that Meek Mill has turned something that was a negative thing into a positive. Everything that has done has shown that he can carry that weight for the next generation.
Everyone that has ever watched "POWER" knows the catchy theme song "BIG RICH TOWN" and will often sing along if comes on where ever they are. Recently, 50 Cent dropped a remix to the hit song with Trey Songz which has received mixed reactions. I'm not gonna lie I think the remix is cool and all but I hope he does not actually replace the original theme song with Joe with the new version. Not that the new song is wack, it's just some things don't need to be replaced.
