Meek Mill doing big things again. Meek posted on Instagram his joint venture with Jay-Zâs âROC NATIONâ. It seems as if Dream Chasers will be officially on ROC NATION going forward. Jay-Z referred to Meek Mill having trouble with the court system and he was able to rebound from that bad situation.
Jay-Z stated that Meek Mill has turned something that was a negative thing into a positive. Everything that has done has shown that he can carry that weight for the next generation. Everyone that has ever watched "POWER" knows the catchy theme song "BIG RICH TOWN" and will often sing along if comes on where ever they are. Recently, 50 Cent dropped a remix to the hit song with Trey Songz which has received mixed reactions. I'm not gonna lie I think the remix is cool and all but I hope he does not actually replace the original theme song with Joe with the new version. Not that the new song is wack, it's just some things don't need to be replaced. Some time ago, Snoop Dogg appeared on Adrian Foster’s podcast and he told a story about 2Pac and Nas having a face to face talk. Snoop Dogg said 2pac told Nas he had a song dissing him and he told Nas he better not say nothing about it.
Snoop would go on to say that Nas had 2pac surrounded by goons but Pac didn’t know it. Basically, Snoop was implying that Nas had the drop on Pac and could have taking Pac out with the snap of his fingers. Recently Reggie Wright Jr, a former police officer and head of Death Row security did an interview with Vlad Tv. In the interview, Reggie Wright Jr refutes Snoop Dogg’s claims and states that Snoop may not have even been there to know what actually happened. Reggie also said that Death Row had at least 20 people with them and a lot of them had guns, including Reggie himself. If something would have actually went down or if there was an altercation Death Row would have been well prepared. Reggie Wright Jr’s story is more in line with what Suge knight said which was 2Pac and Nas talked out there issues and squashed there beef that night. As a matter of fact both Suge and Reggie both say 2Pac wanted to remove his diss record towards Nas but 2Pac died shortly afterward so he was unable to do it. Truthfully, looking at the video of 2Pac with Suge, you don’t see Snoop Dogg anywhere around. Ok, to be critical first, I don't know of Jim Jones writes his own songs. I know that in the past, "Max B" supposedly wrote for Jim Jones. Criticism aside, Jim Jones dropped a good album last year titled "Wasted Talent". Jim Jones latest album " El Capo" is even better than his last one.
I can be tough when grading rap music but I must say "El Capo" is one the few albums I could listen to from beginning to end with no skipping. The last album I was able to say that about was the Styles P and Dave East collab. El Capo has an old school feel to it and grown man approach. The little boy shit is not in this album. I first heard about the album while listening to the Joe Budden Podcast. Budden gave the album high reviews, I immediately went to Spotify and to see if Budden was right. I was not disappointed. I'm telling you right now if you are a fan of real Hip-Hop, this album is a must in your playlist. 50 Cent announced season 6 will be the last for the hit show Power. It will be a 15 episode finale and 50 promised us a spinoff. Looking back on the series, Power became much bigger than what some people expected. Power even managed to withstand the pressure that was put on it from season to season which is not an easy thing to do. Most T.V shows die out around the 3rd season but Power managed to keep fans coming back for more and keep new viewers coming. Often Power was compared to FOX'S EMPIRE, which was also a hit but did not quite connect with the Urban Community the way POWER did.
Nipsey Hussle’s mural has been defaced by a punk ass teenager from Connecticut.
Thankfully the community came together to help restore the mural. This shows the level of stupidity and disrespect that some kid would deface a dead man’s mural and not only that but someone that is highly respected in the community. People like this don’t deserve to be on this earth. https://www.yahoo.com/amphtml/entertainment/nipsey-hussle-connecticut-mural-restored-153454730.html
Joe Budden has never been one to shy away from controversy. This time Budden takes shots Kanye for selling church merch to the black culture after Kanye endorsed Trump and justified Trump’s bigotry. Obviously, Budden is not ready to let go of the mental meltdown that Kanye had at the White House where he embarrassed himself in front of the whole world, calling Trump his daddy. Since then, Kanye has been criticized by many in the Black community for being a sell-out and for being Trump’s token Negro.
